A CV format that works for jobs in Pakistan

Kitwise guide · updated

Recruiters spend under a minute on a CV. A clean one-page CV with clear sections and real achievements gets more calls than a long one with photos and tables.

The sections, in order

  1. Name and contact: phone (with WhatsApp), email, city. A LinkedIn link if you have one. No need for father’s name, CNIC or religion unless asked.
  2. Profile: 2–3 lines on who you are and what you want, for example “Accountant with 4 years in payroll and tax returns, looking for a finance role in Lahore.”
  3. Experience: newest first. Job title, company, dates, then 2–4 points with numbers.
  4. Education: degree, institute, year; add grades only if they are good.
  5. Skills and languages: software you really use (Excel, QuickBooks, AutoCAD), languages (Urdu, English, Punjabi).
