Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up. Everyone can use the tools straight away within a free daily and monthly task limit. A paid plan (licence key) raises those limits.

What file types are supported?

PDF tools accept PDF files. JPG to PDF accepts common image formats, and Office conversion accepts Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OpenDocument files supported by LibreOffice.

Is OCR available?

Yes. OCR supports English, English + Urdu and English + Arabic in the included Docker image.

Are my files public?

No public file listing is provided. Processing uses temporary job directories. Production deployment should still be configured with appropriate backups, monitoring and retention controls.

What are the limits?

The default deployment has configurable upload, page, rate and monthly usage limits. The plan limits can be changed in the server configuration.

Can I use Kitwise commercially?

The application can be deployed commercially, but you are responsible for your domain, hosting, payment provider, privacy/terms content, applicable laws and the licenses/terms of third-party components and services.

How do I find the right tool?

Type what you want to do in the search box on the home page, for example “merge pdf”, “photo size kam” or “marla to kanal”. Everyday words, Roman Urdu and small spelling mistakes are fine. You can also press Ctrl+K (or the search button at the top) on any page, or open a category under All tools.

What happens when I reach my daily limit?

You will see a message and can continue the next day (limits reset at 00:00 UTC), or get a plan on the Pricing page. Tools that run entirely in your browser do not use up your task limit.

Why is a tool not working?

Check that you selected a supported file, completed required fields, stayed within upload limits and that your daily limit is not used up. Media tools need FFmpeg; AI tools need a configured AI provider; billing requires configured payment credentials. If the required service is unavailable, the tool cannot complete the task until the deployment is configured.

Do all tools process files the same way?

No. Some text and image utilities run locally in your browser. PDF, Office-to-PDF, ZIP, image, video and audio tools run in your browser; OCR, web-to-PDF, the website audit and AI tools send input to the Kitwise server or a configured provider. Read the privacy note on each workspace before using it with sensitive information.

Can I trust AI output without checking it?

No. Review generated facts, names, numbers, citations, legal or medical claims, and tone. AI output is a draft, not a substitute for your own review.
