About the AI Paraphrasing Tool (Rewriter)

Rewrite a sentence or a paragraph to make it simpler, more formal, more casual, shorter, longer or more engaging, while keeping the meaning. You can ask for up to three versions and pick the one you like.

In Chrome on a computer it uses the browser's built-in AI on your device; elsewhere it opens your request in ChatGPT or Claude.

How to use it

  1. Add your inputType or paste your input. Many tools already show an example you can change.
  2. Press Run toolThe result appears right below the button.
  3. Copy or downloadUse Copy output, or the Download button for files.

Which languages work?

The built-in AI writes English, Spanish, French, German and Japanese directly; other languages are translated when Chrome can.
