Watch: how to use the Video Editor (33 seconds)
A real recording of the tool, no sound โ the steps are written on the video and below.
How it works
Add video clips and photos; they line up in the strip at the bottom. Choose a clip to trim its start and end, split it at the play position, change its speed from 0.25ร to 3ร, set its sound level and give it a look such as Vivid, Warm or B&W. Photos get a slow zoom and can stay on screen as long as you like.
Add titles and labels from the Text panel, or type one caption per line in Captions and they are spread over the video automatically. Stickers and emoji can be placed anywhere โ drag them on the preview โ and every text or sticker has its own start and end time and a fade, pop or slide animation.
Add a song and set its volume, starting point and fade-out, or mute the clips' own sound. Saving plays the project once while the browser records it, so it takes as long as the video; keep the tab open. Chrome and Edge save MP4 where they can, other browsers WebM.

Questions
Is there a watermark?
No. The video is yours, with no watermark and no account.
Why does saving take as long as the video?
The editor plays your project and records it in real time inside your browser, so nothing has to be uploaded.
Which files can I add?
MP4 (H.264), WebM and most phone videos, plus JPG, PNG and WebP photos. Some MOV or HEVC files only play in Safari.
Can it make captions from speech automatically?
Not yet. Type or paste your lines in Captions (one per line) and they are timed for you.
