About the Image to Text (OCR) – English, Urdu & more
Copy the text out of a photo, screenshot or scanned page. Choose the language of the text, add one or more pictures and get the text ready to copy and edit. Urdu, English, both together, Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Bengali, Turkish, Chinese and several European languages are supported.
Text recognition runs inside your browser with the open-source Tesseract engine. The first time, it downloads the engine and the language data (a few MB); after that it is faster. Your picture is not uploaded.
Clear, straight, well-lit pictures give the best results. Printed Naskh Urdu is read better than Nastaliq (newspaper style), and handwriting is usually not read well, so always check names and numbers.
